I shot this foreground on a holiday over to Lake Mapourika on New Zealand's West Coast back in 2016. It was a fairly dull image until I added the rising Milky Way I shot last month.
I think the vertical lines compliment each other and lead the eye into the image.
This is usually an impossible image as the Milky Way doesn't rise in this direction when at the Lake.
Ground: A single shot of 120 seconds, ISO50, f16, Samyang 24mm, Canon 6D
Sky: A panorama of 30 shots with a 40% overlap taken from an astro tracking mount. 60 seconds, ISO1600, f2.8, Sigma Art 50mm, Canon 5D4, Fornax Lightrack II tracker.
