It is so good to be back out and shooting again after lockdown, doing activities that seemed so far away while we were all stuck at home!
The title of this image comes from not just the joy of being out doing what I love, but also life in general, new experiences, pushing myself to improve, all that fun stuff.
Even though the sky wasn't totally clear this night and it felt annoying at the time causing the brighter stars to bloat with a weird effect it actually turned out for the best. I like the effect.
I think we should look towards aspects of life like this, things might not seem good at the time, or problems start arising that we didn't anticipate, but going through these things and looking for the best outcome in situations can make us stronger, more resilient and honest with ourselves.
Keep being positive :)
I shot this foreground at Castle Hill just before the sunset, later that night I went deeper into Arthurs Pass and shot the rising milky way.
